All dressed for My Hope party

My open cell was having a joint My Hope party on 27 Dec with Alice and Grace's open cell. It was really warm and humid that day so i dressed esther in this sexy frilly pink top to keep off the heat. I even gave her two cute little hair deco to make her look more girly. Cute? Anyway the hair clips din last long cos she was so grouchy the whole day as she didn't have a proper nap at Belinda's place. Ha!

Esther at Qian Hu (part 2)

I was trying to take a picture of joyce and my mum with the two babies. And naughty little esther actually went close to cousin jonathan and literally slap him on the back of his head. We were all laughing our heads off and poor jonathan just sit there with nowhere to escape. Can see how hilarious esther is? Haha she is really enjoying herself lor

Esther at Qian Hu fish farm (part 1)

My mum bought tickets for joyce and my family to visit qian hu on Boxing day. So one big group of us gathered at meeting point at amk to take a bus there. Its fun for all of us especially the kids who had so much fun catching longkang fish using a small net. Esther was giggling from ear to ear when we wanted to take her pictures.

Esther at Ikea (part 2)

We showed her lots of stuffed toys and she particular like those big big ones especially this hippopotamus. She just hugged the hippo tightly and bury her face into its soft body and laugh. So so adorable. Must come more often to get little ideas for her room when she gets older.

Brought esther to Ikea on Christmas day to walk walk and get some items for the house. This is the first time we brought her here. She had so much fun just sitting on the trolley and looking around her, trying to tug at everything her little hands came in contact with.

My Xmas tree

Ho Ho Ho....Merry Xmas....

kekeke i have set up my hardy xmas tree liao. Nice rite, nice rite???!!! I did it all by myself ok... steady rite?
Been using tree for a 3 years running ardy. Still nice and good as new. I am a very environmental friendly person; every decoration is recycled from 2006 when i bought the whole works from NTUC (i am just trying to say that i am a cheapo in a nice way).

Can you see from the picture that i am still lacking something? (actually not very clear la)

YUP, you got it!!!! I don't have enough presents to don the tree.

I have a bit more under the tree now than when the picture was taken. But not enough.

So please do keep your presents coming in. The more the merrier. Especially for Esther.

And oh, before i forget abt this incident, Esther was staring at me doing up the tree a few days back. Keep moving up and down in her walker and giggling at the tree. It was ardy 8pm plus and she still seem energetic. Normally you would have her rubbing her eyes at 7plus at night. She must have loved Xmas like mummy does. Clever girl.

CNY shopping

Went shopping for Esther's CNY clothes. Saw this cheong sum style dress and loved it at first sight. So decided to get this after much deliberation abt the colour i should get.

Nice??!! Think this colour will look great on Esther's fair skin. Red is too obiang; pink is too sweet for her. Plum red is just perfect.

Going to let her wear this on the first day of CNY.

Shhhh....dun let 奶奶 and 外婆 know first. Going to give them a surprise on the actual day.

Esther is going to be the limelight of the day for sure.

Esther went hospital to visit baby cousin 婕妤

My sister in law, Xiao Fen gave birth to a healthy and beautiful baby girl on 29 Nov at around 6pm.
Brought esther to visit them on sunday after church.
Oh you can't imagine how cute the baby girl is; rosy cheeks, high nose, sharp chin and very dark and thick hair. Sooooo cute.

And esther was very jealous of baby cousin lor. See her only she start crying. Especially so when gramdma went near the baby. Oops...think have to be very careful when i want to plan for Number 2.

Even though i am ardy a mother, but still a bit scare when i carry the baby cos ultimately ardy 8 months since i carry a new born haha.

We were all so excited seeing the baby till i forgotten to take photos of her lor, so sad =(

But managed to catch esther playing with 3rd uncle.

A week break at home with Esther

Spent a whole week with Esther and hubby at home from 25 Nov till 30 Nov cos my mother in law went to Hainan Island for a short holiday with her friends.

Think we are so busy taking care and entertaining our little girl that we have forgotten to take photos of her.

Only managed to capture a few shots when we brought her out and here they are...

The day Esther lost her room....

We are renting Esther's room out.

No. We are not hard up for cash.
But yes, good to have some extra cash in the pockets though haha.

Anyway the story goes like this....
Tiong's gf came to Sg to work and have been staying at Chye's place for a month plus liao.
But Fen going to have baby soon and her mother will be coming over from JB to help her with the confinement. So Chye and Fen will need the extra room they have for mother to stay. Therefore gf cannot stay there any more.

Tiong and gf cannot find suitable accommodation so andy say maybe esther's room.
They think think think and say confirmed taking our room (with a rental of course) on tuesday.

We have shifted esther's cupboard/drawers and her changing table out of her room into the study room. Still left the twin sofa bed in the room. Hope she will take and use the sofa bed, if not i will have another bulky item in the study room. The room is getting quite crammed now; study table/chair, esther's cupboard/drawers, changing table, a big mattress and small mattress and a rocker. Packed hor??!!?

Think i am not so worried abt the crammed study room, anyway i seldom step into it. Merely go in there to take esther's stuff now. More afraid of sharing my home with another person. Different habits and ways of doing things. And then now at night sleep must be 'closed-door' event liao. No ventilation leh. Everyday on air-con very ex also. Dilemma. And sometimes i let esther sleep outside in her playpen one, think now quite difficult to do so, scare she will wake her up.

Everything has its pros and cons. Anyway now also cannot change our mind liao. Ardy promised to rent out then have to bear with it. Can't rent for very long also lah. They will get their own place if they ROM; and if i have another baby then i will need the room too.

Let's just hope we will all have a good owner-tenant relationship ba.
(lucky she is nice and soft-spoken one =)

Anyone having a X'mas party?

This is going to be Esther's 1st X'mas and i tot we might be able to have a little tea party at home so that esther can play and enjoy herself with the company of other family members.
But papa said no to it, saying that esther is too young to understand anything and too troublesome to clean up the place after the event.

No choice, papa said NO NO ardy. Guess we will just have that trusted X'mas tree with all the recycled decorations up for X'mas this year. And of course X'mas presents for Angel Esther beneath that tree. It's her 1st X'mas afterall. So let's keep that X'mas presents coming. We are waiting to fill up all the empty spaces beneath the x'mas tree...hahahaha

Hmmm...we will wait for 大姨妈 to see if she will organise a X'mas party this year.
Fingers crossed...toes crossed...arms also crossed...

If you're happy.... (part 2)

Esther is having so much fun with papa. Totally fascinated with papa's singing and action.

Now she recognises the song 'If you're happy...'.

Just yesterday my MIL was playing the baby learning VCD for her and 'if you're happy' song was featured. Esther immediately go ga-ga over the song and started laughing and screaming, completely enjoying the song. Think she can now link the song to papa's fun little game with her. This song has replaced 'twinkle twinkle little star' as her favourite. And 'twinkle twinkle little star' is mama's song with esther... =(

Anyway, Esther is very much a daddy's girl. Stick to papa like super glue. Mama is associated with food, bath, diapers and the necessities. Papa is associated with play and fun. Hmmm..time for role reversal. Hahaha...

Oh, and today is Aunty Fayth's birthday (ok ok we shan't t3ll other pple how old aunty Fayth is. She is just as 0 as mama is =) Let's wish aunty Fayth a very very happy and wonderful birthday. May God bless her ever till forever. Amen.

Buahahaha..... my little Esther is finally saying "mama" on 11 Nov 08. Another achievement for Esther!!!!!!
That's my 2nd wedding anniversary gift! (and oh, i got nothing from hubby lor, unless you count that Japanese buffet treat one =)

Oh ok, though i am not the first one to hear Esther say mama (it has to be my mother-in-law who hears that first b'cos she has been teaching her saying mama), i'm super happy!!!
It is great to have MIL or mother to take care of your kids. You can rest assured that your kids are in good hands.

Oh just to remind you that Esther is really teething now. Do keep your fingers protected when you go near her; you dun want to get your fingers chewed off by her strong teeth.

Esther at 34 weeks old.

Esther is learning so many new things recently that she keeps wanting to practice them all the times. She can even wake up in the middle of the night and start clapping her hands or even call out 'papa papa' in her dreams. And poor mama have to wake up and check if she is really awake or just talking in her dreams....

She can now respond to little instructions like jumping, dancing and clap hands. And it seems like she understands the word 'papa' too as she always look at her papa when she calls out.

She is at a very fun and interesting age now. Wait till she is crawling and walking; that's when the headaches comes. Hahahaha...

Esther knows how to 'multi-task'

Think Esther is teething again, this time the upper front teeth. She is starting to drool like the time she was cutting her lower set of front teeth, and refuses to drink her milk even though she is very hungry. Only her teething gel can cure that....

Esther says 'papa'

Ho ho ho... Esther is speaking her first words and it's 'papa'.
How sad =( why is it not ' mama' first. Jealous ardy.
Keke but it's so cute to hear her blabber a whole string of papapapa out that it really doesn't matter anymore. Hope i will hear esther call mama soon. Fingers crossed.

Week 30.
Hey hey hey.... got a surprise when we came back from Japan: Esther can now sit pretty steadily with minimal support. We just have to jaga her back just in case she gets tired and decide to take a rest on her back. Other than that, she can sit pretty well and can reach around her for toys and things that caught her interest. Another growing and developing milestone for her. Hip Hip Hooray!!!!!

Hmmm one thing of concern is that she is a bit slow in taking solid food. She doesn't seems to like porridge or cereal. But somehow she likes bread. Just like mummy =) Gotta like her try a few more things to find what she likes.

Just came back from a holiday in Japan. Feel very bad that we didn't bring esther along. We missed her so much that we tried to call home every day to check how she is doing, so much so that my mother in law says that she's ok, dun need to call everyday unless urgent. Keke. Must have gotten on her nerve to always have to rush to take call while taking care of baby. Ok, no more leaving her behind when we go on holidays from now no. Anyway, bought her quite a few items: the minnie mouse hair band, pooh bear and minnie mouse hair clips, a classic pooh plush, a baby yukata set, and a set of one piece body suits. But sorry babe, mummy tested the hair band for you first at disneyland for the whole day. Certified good quality. Keke.

My pretty girl in her BMW

Oh, you should see her in her walker. She can literally race round the house in record time. She can walk left, right, backwards and even forward. No place is too far and difficult for her. She can even manoverve around corners and tight spots just to be at where she wants to be...like squeezing between the TV console and the coffee table so that she can get near that DVD player and controller. She even knows how to make use of the walker to play chasing games with me.
Good to have a walker, really. It boosts her confidence as she gains mobility with it. And definitely a good tool to keep you hands free for a moment to catch your breath.

1st Oct was my father's birthday. Brought Esther over to my parents' place after the gathering at my place. This is the first picture esther took with gong gong. Happy Birthday 公公!

Friend from Dubai

My good friend Fayth came back from Dubai for a week long holiday. Was at my place for a gathering with other friends and to see Esther. This is the first time fayth see her in person. Esther was very excited to see so many people ard the house when she woke from her nap. And as expected, she was not able to take her afternoon nap cos she wanted to play (and partly of the noise). I think esther makes a good host; must entertain guests; no nap. Haha.

Esther is teething

Esther is finally teething at 26 weeks. After months of drooling we finally saw two little teeth coming out of her gum. She now readily bites on anything she sees; no matter is my finger or shoulder, or spoon or my handphone. Glad that she has reached another phase of growing up. Thank God for my little angel!

I love cameras!

Esther at week 26. Esther now loves the cameras. Whenever i whip out my camera phone, she will get excited and start laughing, giving me happy faces to take. No more shocked faces as compared to when she's younger. So cute. But she kick and move so much when she gets excited that it becomes difficult to take a nice shot too. Ha!

I'm limited edition

Bought esther a playpen and 2 walkers on thur. The items were delivered yest afternoon. Had to buy 2 walkers cos one for my own house and one to put at my mother in law's place. She was playing and rolling around inside the play pen whole morning. Think it is a great idea to have the play pen at home as she likes to roll around and sometimes got her hand or leg outside her baby cot. Very dangerous. Now i can place her in her play pen while i cook lunch, do laundry or bath. Good choice, esp when the play pen is a gift from my parents haha

Esther goes D&D

It was my organisation's annual D&D on 23 Aug and i got andy and esther to go together. Esther was very tired the whole event cos she refused to take her afternoon nap. But the sounds and lights fascinated her and kept her awake throughout. Wrong move to bring her. Caused disruption to her sleep. Have to think twice of where i bring her from now no. *and finally, a family photo posted.*

Bought esther a box of teething biscuits to bite cos she seems to be teething soon. See anything will just put in your mouth and munch. Once i pull her fingers out of her mouth to prevent her from biting, she immediately turned around to bite my shoulder and my cheek. Scary ah. Luckily no tooth yet, if not i will get teeth marks ardy. Haha. Hope she will cut her first teeth soon.

Esther attends wedding again

20 Aug was my cousin, Jonathan's wedding. Brought esther to attend with me. Obviously i doll her up prettily for the event again. She was so sweet and beautiful that her grandma quickly flash out the camera to capture a few shots of her before we went off. Cute rite? Look just like me. Haha!

Grandma come visit Esther

Hmmm very pai sei very long never bring Esther to visit my Mum. In fact my mum came to see esther more often than i brought her over. Think grandpa even longer never see her. Anyway esther was having so much fun playing with grandma. She was giggling and laughing the whole time till grandma stepped out of the house. And i managed to captured quite a number of pictures of esther smiling and playing. Playful little angel doesn't want to sleep though she was very tired.

Esther is ardy 4 months and 12 days old and we have yet to take a family photo.
It is either Esther with mummy, or Esther with daddy.
Think must really get other people to help us take a family photo ardy.
Best if daddy is willing to pay to get a family portrait taken professionally.

We love bringing esther go airport for a stroll. We have been here many times but this is actually the first time we took pictures with her here. Think old ardy so keep forgetting to do so. Wanted to show her aeroplanes but while walking there, esther fell asleep. Only awoke when we are abt to board the train home. Hai. Haha.

Rock and roll

Esther is 4 months old today. I was back home early and managed to catch her playing on her battery operated rocker. The rocking effect was turned off. But Esther managed to rock herself by using her leg to push against the side support. So clever. Helps save battery also. Haha

Esther got a new book.

Daddy and mummy brought me go shopping and bought me a new book to chew...hmmm ahh...i mean to read. Keke :-P
